About

Hello, I’m Angela. I launched Tiger and Wolf in 2017 offering a premium pet care service to the four-legged residents of Balham, Battersea and Clapham.

The inspiration was my own cat Rex who in 2014, was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy (he’s the handsome chap pictured above). From the age of 18 months, Rex has required prescription drugs which come with long-term side effects.

Although infrequently, Rex continues to have seizures and if I need to be away, finding someone to medicate and take care of him is a challenge. I realised that like me, there must be other pet owners who require more than ‘express’ cat-feeding visits from the untrained and unqualified.

I’ve always had a natural affinity with animals but to help Rex as best I could, I enrolled in a series of complementary animal healing, behavioural and small animal nutrition courses. Before I knew it, a new career path had emerged…

Now working as a holistic therapist, I’m a Registered Animal Healer and Member of the Healing Animals Organisation (MHAO); Bach Foundation Registered Animal Practitioner (BFRAP) and Reiki practitioner trained to Master level for both humans and animals.
I’m an advocate of fresh, species appropriate, real food. Good nutrition, including natural foods and remedies, helps to support the continuing wellbeing of our pets. I am also trained in basic pet first aid.

In August 2023, I proudly launched my healing business, Angela Kearney Healing - Holistic Therapies for People and Pets. To find out more, click here.

The Covid period brought some changes to the business and an increased requirement for cat care which I’m very happy about. My enduring love of cats leads me to my next academic challenge. In 2024, I begin an Advanced Diploma in Applied Animal (Feline) Behaviour!

Unfortunately, there’s no longer time in my schedule for dog-walking and canine care. But I love my Tiger and Wolf logo so much that I just couldn’t part with it.

If your requirement is for cat care when on vacation or travelling for work, I’ll visit your home, allowing your tiger to remain where he or she is happiest.

My aim is to ensure that your kitty enjoys ongoing optimum health and a happy, stress-free experience during your absence. Consequently, you can fully relax knowing that your precious pet will receive the best possible care. And lots of cuddles!

Tiger and Wolf is fully insured with specialist providers, Protectivity.

Services

why home visits?

It's often said that domestic cats are solitary creatures not overly attached to their humans. In fact, they usually form very close bonds with us.

When you're away, your tiger will be unsettled by your absence and any change in his or her circumstances. For many cats, a boarding experience is deeply stressful. A cat's anxiety is best managed by arranging home visits where routine, comfort and security are maintained in familiar surroundings.

quality over quantity

If you’ve been looking for a cat sitter, you’ll notice that most offer standard visits between 20-25 minutes. And some very bold claims are made about what’s possible to achieve in that time! An already unsettled cat will be further stressed by a stranger charging around your home for 20 minutes before they rush off to the next pet sitting job.

My standard visit is for 35 minutes. This allows me time to complete tasks at a calm and steady pace in your cat’s domain. It also leaves dedicated time for play, enrichment and cuddles, if desired. Or simply, to sit quietly nearby providing gentle reassurance to nervous kitties…

If you have more than one tiger, high maintenance cats or would simply like your kitties to enjoy some company for a longer period, 60 minute visits are also available.
These visits are particularly well suited to indoor cats lacking stimulation or cats dealing with unusual circumstances; senior cats who need a little extra help and reassurance or those with health issues who take longer to cater for (or clean up after).

special visits & additional services

Special visits can also be arranged for cats with acute and chronic health conditions requiring extra visits each day or extra time per visit. I’m also able to administer medications in most cases. A small daily fee applies.

Relaxing, holistic treatments are also available. Reiki, Bach Flower Remedies or perhaps a healing herb garden? Wellbeing consultations can be booked for issues around diet, nutrition and behavioural concerns. Learn more at Angela Kearney Healing.

training, qualifications & daily communication

I’ll aim to replicate your cat's daily schedule as closely as possible. Most importantly, keeping to regular feeding times, I’ll be closely observing how much your cat is eating and drinking. Where there is a litter tray, I monitor output. I am adequately trained to recognise behavioural or any physical irregularities and can confidently advise when veterinary intervention is required.

Giving you even greater peace of mind, I’ll keep an eye on things at home. You’ll return to a tiger-tidy space. I can bring in your post, open/close curtains and blinds, adjust lighting, water your plants (within reason) and take out the trash. No problem.

Unique to Tiger and Wolf, you’ll also receive updates and photos of your precious kitties after every visit. Take a look at some of my adorable kitty clients in the photo gallery.

Tiger and Wolf offers a truly premium service delivered by a qualified animal health professional. You’ll be regularly updated and reassured during your time away. And upon your return, a happy, healthy and purrfectly relaxed pet will be waiting…

happy Customers

“Angela looked after our cat during a major heatwave, and did a wonderful job keeping him cool, comfortable and entertained despite the 40C temperatures. We loved seeing her regular updates each day with photos and funny stories of our cat's antics, and despite the difficult conditions she really kept our minds at ease that he was being well cared for by someone who really understands and loves cats. She was also full of great advice before, during and after the time we were away, and we will certainly be booking her again. I have no hesitation in recommending Angela's services.”

- Veronica, Battersea

“Lovely Angela looked after my three cats - they really love her as do we to come back to clean home and happy cats. Angela was also hugely supportive when our beloved Tommy cat was diagnosed with cancer and helped us with his peaceful passing. We look forward to her next visit in July .. the girls are waiting with new tricks!”

- Sarah, Wandsworth

“Fabulous pet care!!! Very happy leaving our loved one in such good hands.”

- Emily, Earlsfield

"Would highly recommend Angela from Tiger and Wolf, she has looked after my two cats on multiple occasions and her care has always been amazing. She really goes above and beyond to provide for our cats and is also very communicative whilst we are away with lots of pictures and messages about the cats! Can’t recommend enough."

- SORREL, EARLSFIELD

"I was looking for someone to look after my cat and my neighbour recommended Angela to me, having used Tiger and Wolf before. I contacted Angela and she came for an initial visit to meet me and she really took the time to understand my cat’s habits/living arrangements etc. This really gave me the confidence to leave my cat in her hands. During my holidays, Angela kept me up to date on my cat and sent me many photos. I could see my cat was happy to have her company. Beyond that, I can see Angela is a true animal lover which is a very important bonus point when you leave your pet with her. I have used Tiger and Wolf on many occasions and will no doubt continue to do so. I highly recommend Tiger and Wolf.

- KENNETH, EARLSFIELD

"We couldn’t believe our luck in finding such a wonderful sitter for our cats in this massive city! Angela is a joy to work with - friendly, responsible, caring, punctual, accommodating and is so passionate about her work. We have booked her for both short and longer term jobs and it’s always been easy and to a high standard. Our cats love her and we love the regular updates from her with photos included to make us feel at ease that our cats are all happy and cared for. Totally trust her with the security of the house as well. Highly recommend. xxx"

- JULIA, BATTERSEA

"Angela at Tiger and Wolf has looked after our two cats several times, and has always been excellent. I know I can rely on her to do a great job which allows me to go away with total peace of mind. Both my cats love her; in fact last time she came to our flat to collect the keys, Fuzz heard her voice from next door’s garden, and leapt over the fence to greet her and make a fuss of her! Highly recommend. :-)"

- ALICE, TOOTING

"Angela at Tiger and Wolf is the best! She is so great with our little dog, Toffee who suffered from a few traumas and pretty bad back surgery last year. Angela’s care, sensitivity, patience have helped Toffee to regain strength and confidence. Angela is also very knowledgeable about food, natural remedy and natural treatments which have been proven very helpful for Toffee. I feel very safe to leave Toffee with Angela every day."

- GAELLE, BATTERSEA

"When my regular cat sitter (who I’d used for nearly twenty years) went onto other things, I was pretty sure I’d never find anyone as good, but I can’t recommend Angela highly enough. You can’t put a price on peace of mind, and I know she really cares about her charges, and takes amazing care of my cat (and house). He can be very shy of people, but warmed to her immediately. Last time she looked after him, he needed antiseptic applied to a cut, which isn’t easy to do, but she managed! And she updates me regularly with pics so I can see he’s ok (BTW, she’s also a very good photographer). She’s very accommodating and was happy to step in at the last minute when my flight was delayed last year and I got back a day late. I also like the variety of options she offers - she really is a godsend!"

- JUDY, TOOTING

“I would definitely recommend Angela. She has taken great care of our two little dogs and it is great having someone that we can trust to take the utmost care of them. Angela has been generous with her time and advice and it is clear how much she loves animals and how committed she is to providing an A+ service.”

- MUIREANN, CLAPHAM

"Angela is great! Very responsible with our puppy and she really cares. I'd highly recommend her."

- GARY, CLAPHAM
